Extremely satisfied. Provides great support & great fit. I'm a petite girl & the XS fits perfectly & at a very good price. I would highly recommend to other pregnant women in need of medium support.
I had 5 pair of these. I wore them everyday from about the second month and can't imagine my pregnancy without them! They were so awesome! I didn't get any vericose veins and the swelling in my legs and ankels was minimal. I also noticed if I didn't have them on for even a few hours I felt more fatigued and tired. My pregnancy was spent taking care of my terminally ill mother. I lifted her, moved her, lifted her scooter, was on my feet probably 20 hours a day. I did lots of things I probably shouldn't have. I can't even imagine how much harder it would have been without these stockings holding me in and keeping the fatigue and swelling down. I can't say enough about them.
I have tried several different types of compression panty hose through my pregnancies as I have terrible vericose veins! These are by far the most comfortable, easiest to take on and off, and stylish. I really like that they have no feet...it makes it so much nicer for wearing them under other pants (ie: scrubs) with little discomfort. They don't roll up behind my knees like other pany hose and they stay in place for 16 hour shifts! Also, the pressure placed on the baby (abdomen) is less than the other kinds of panty hose I've tried.
Because I'm so tall, the footless compression leggings are great! Don't have to worry about them being too short and always having to pull them up. They fit very well.
Q: How do these compare to Jobst in terms of "wear and tear"? I machine wash and dry my Jobst's and have toddlers with velcro shoes that catch on them and they've held up very well. Is delicate care is necessary with this kind of legging?
Q: i am a hairstylist and stand all day. i am due at the end of July and preparing to have a very hot summer. i want to wear compression stockings while working, but when i got fitted at a pharmacy today they didn't have footless. are these as supportive as the ones i would buy at a pharamacy? my main concern is not getting varicose veins. But will my feet swell more because they only go to the ankle?
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc.
See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
Q: Where are you? How's the weather?
A: We are located in Brooklyn, NY. Here is the current weather in our part of town. We hope the sun is shining by you!
