I really liked the 5700, the length and compression was better.
The 5800 developed holes very quickly in the heels and toes.
Plus they were a little shorter in length. I wish Juzo would Please bring back the quality and length of the 5700.

I loved the 5700. The 5800 does not compare!
These are tight around the top band and don't compress like the older 5700's.
These do not hold up well. I wore 2 pair of 5700's for an entire year and they're still in perfect shape. I bought 2 more pair of the 5800's about 4 months ago (only because I can't find anymore 5700's) and both pair already have several holes in the bottom of the foot and the back of the heel. These are poorer quality than the old 5700's. My 5700's are still going strong.
I agree with Rebecca...these socks are uncomfortably short for me too.
I'm currently on the hunt for some better knee-hi's.

The new 5800 style has a better fit than the 5700 for me. The length from heel to below the knee is perfect, and the foot size is true to size. My only complaint about these socks are that they wear out more quickly in the heels than the previous style. I have had them for less than 3 months, and they are developing small holes in the heel area.

I wear x-small knee highs. These are hard to find. Most of the other manufacturers' small size are too long. These wear very well-about 51/2 months. The very first ones I had had a little more room in the toe area. That is why I gave the fit as not excellent. I think this item is a good buy.

I love the way these sock make my legs feel and I love that they look less like compression stockings, but more like dress socks. The price was the best and I thank you for that and the prompt delivery. What a great Christmas gift for those that have tired, heavy legs.

The new 5800 style replaces the 5700 style that I've worn for the past 10 years. The changes are as follows: new darker kakhi color; 72% cotton instead of 66%; 1 inch larger in circumference at the widest part of the calf; 1 to 1.5 inches shorter; top band slightly wider + tighter. These changes have their place, but should not replace the older style. The older style is perfect for a taller, thinner person with mild to moderate edema + varicose veins. The 5800 is perfect for a shorter + heavier person. I find the new 5800 do not offer enough compression + the band is somewhat tight but tolerable.
