Measure thickest part of the calf.
Determine the length by measuring from the crease of the knee to bottom of the heel.

I recently purchased and returned (great customer service) two pairs of Jobst Opaque knee high open toe 30-40 stockings. I have purchased at least 10 pairs in the past and LOVED them...however...now the color has changed and silky beige is no longer available and they come in what is listed as Natural. They tried to tell me it was the same color, so I ordered them anyway and NO They are tan, and my light skin color, they remind me of what my grandma used to wear. They also are made of a different blend. The cuffs were both balled after the first washing and they had pin sized holes in the cuffs. These are NOT the same great stockings as in the past and I am no longer going to purchase this obviously inferior product. I would have paid more to purchase the better quality, but now they lost a customer.

I have purchased this stocking for years. They were wonderful in the past. I was told that the "natural" color was the same as "silky beige". It is very yellow and dull compared to the "silky beige" which has a pink cast that more closely matches my skin tone. I will not buy these again until they bring back the "silky beige". They are softer, which felt better. However, they did not hold up and last nearly as long as the old stockings. They pilled and I wore a hole in the heel way too fast......
