I've always found Juzo to be an extremely good choice to controlling feet and leg swelling. I've had a pair for years and would not have felt it necessary to order more if I hadn't misplaced one of the first set. William Wolter

I have been wearing the Juzo compression hose on only 1 leg for a number of years now. On the other leg I wear the Jobst Flat Knit vompression hose. I recently switched from the regular length of the Juzo to the short length of the Juzo to get a better fit on my leg. I follow care instructions to the nth degree. This keeps the compression working well for a longer time. I never use fabric softener for the hose. The Juzo always goes into the dryer (usually it is the only item in there). That way, no fabric softener items mix with them. I sure wish they would be on sale more often. Every little discount helps (as does free shipping) but they sure are expensive. Since I need the 30-40 compression I am never able to buy them "over the counter" in local stores. Thank you for your time.

This is my third pair. The first two orders were perfect, but this last pair slips down.

Excellent product, I'm so happy with the price and the fast service. I've tried many brands and Juzo is the best. Plus, I ordered a special order color and still got it relatively fast! I think I'll order another color right now!

Compression stockings were prescribed for edema following my fourth spine surgery 10 years ago. I bought my first pair of stockings from a local store recommended by the hospital where the surgery was performed. Since then Discount Surgical Stockings has been my supplier, both because of cost and convenience. Ordering is easy and can be done at my convenience any time of the day. The stockings arrive on my doorstep within a few days.

like the new guide line to show if the stocking is on straight.

The quality of the compression stockings were fine but there is a dark line running down the front of the both stockings. The dark line seems to follow the fold.

I have been very pleased working with Discount Surgical staff to be sure the product I order is the correct one for me. I recently switched from "regular" length to "short" length and it was a great decision. They fit better, do not wrinkle, and my legs feel so much better.

Husband was injured in a motorcycle accident. Has to wear compression sock from now on. These fit the bill.

A: The silicone acts like a "glue" to grab into your leg and keep the garment from sliding down
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
Q: Where are you? How's the weather?
A: We are located in Brooklyn, NY. Here is the current weather in our part of town. We hope the sun is shining by you!
