I have been using Sigvaris and other brands for years. I am convinced this brand is the most comfortable on the market. If you wear compression hosiery every day as I do, you owe it to your legs to try this brand, and especially the sea island cotton. The socks are very easy to get on/off and easy to adjust. I do use the washing solution by Sigvaris and they come out like new each time. I know many people recommend Jobst, and I have tried 6 pair only to realize they feel like cardboard. These socks are not inexpensive, and in this customers opinion are worth it, and will last, if you take care of them.

When I was told that I needed to wear compression socks every day for the rest of my life my doctor's nurse recommended that I try different manufacturers to see what I liked best. I bought and tried 4 different brands from less expensive to more expensive and I ended up loving the Sigvaris socks because of the quality and how my legs felt better when I wore them. In fact I was having a check up with my cardiologist and she felt the socks and asked what the brand was because she said she never felt anything like them. They are great, haven't found anything like them and I do try once in a while but I always reorder my usual.

The exact same product prescribed by my doctor, insurance paid for two pairs but because I'm active I have to change into a clean pair mid day causing excessive wear and tear. Item priced $40 less than if purchased through heath care provider, new in box, fast shipping excellent source for individuals who's insurance won't cover cost or like me to add a few extra pairs without going bankrupt. Product it's self is high quality, it does not have copper or silver threading to help with odor but that has not been a issue because I rotate them and wash on a regular basis, these are the same legging's that are prescribed by doctors and highly reccomend

I've tried a few different brands of compression socks and these are by far worth the money because they are comfortable and feel wonderful. My doctor even commented on them and asked me what the brand was. The material is just wonderful.

Great, they come up high enough, stay up, and don't bind at top.

Q & A

Ask a Question
1 question for this item
Q: Is there a pair two stockings in the package, or would I be ordering just one compression stocking?
A: In the package there is a pair. One left and one right foot sock.
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
Q: Where are you? How's the weather?
A: We are located in Brooklyn, NY. Here is the current weather in our part of town. We hope the sun is shining by you!
