I have used surgical stockings for many years after I developed ulcers on my legs. I have worn them ever since and have never had ulcers since. Service has been great, with a reminder of time to buy new ones every 6 months. I highly recommend this site and it's merchandise.

This is my fourth time ordering from Discount Surgical Stocking, and I will continue to do so. The price is great, the quality is there, and I haven't been disappointed yet. For those of you on the fence about trying these stockings, just go ahead and order. I've even recommended Discount Surgical to the wound care facility where I've been treated.

I have been ordering this style for many years. They are reasonably priced and last a long time. I find the wide band at the knee to be more comfortable than any other style of compression stocking. I work 12.5 hour shifts, and can wear these for the full day without problems.

This is the best price I've found for compression stockings and the most durable. Have been ordering on a regular basis and will continue to do so. Service has been great, and the ease of ordering is appreciated. A pleasure to do business here.

I have always liked your opaque compression stockings. I had problems with sizing because I am short in height (small sizing), but measure medium around the calf. Your new size of short medium is perfect! Thank you for offering this size.

I have had several thrombosis in both of my legs. These stockings are by far the best for the price. Before I found these, the stockings that I was wearing cost $80.00 plus. What a deal! I have had these for 3 months and I will be ordering more.

Although the famous brands gave me good support, I decided to try this brand almost as a lark considering how much more economical they were. Was I surprised. I like the feel and support these hose give me and will probably order more pairs as time passes. I especially like the toe pockets that don't squeeze my toes together as do the more famous brands such as Juzo, Sigvaris, and Jobst. Definitely a BEST BUY.

I bought these because I had been having a lot of trouble with soreness and aching in my legs. These cleared it up almost completely and I am back to my walking routine again. The size chart worked perfectly for me and the delivery was extremely prompt.

Having worn Discount Surgical Stockings for about one year, I have found little difference from the ones I pay dearly for and have trouble obtaining, because I used to live in a very rural area. Even the medical supply house suggested the internet as a way to find less expensive support hose. I have worn support hose for about 10 years. Pricing is at least half of what I usually pay, and they are very durable ofen lasting as long as the expensive brands. Thanks for providing such a service for those of us who have to count our pennies.

I have been wearing compression stockings on my Left leg for 25+ years. I suffer from KT syndrome and have severe varicose veins in my Left leg. I have been a faithful user of Sigvarus products. Our insurance recently no longer covers compression stockings. I was looking for a more economical alternative. I reluctanly ordered these as a trial because they were cost effective. I couldn't be happier with the results! They do not get loose after a few days wearing them and give cosistant compression for all 5 days that I wear them. I bairly feel like I am wearing anything and have had no ackes in my leg this past month. They don't slip down and the new shorter length is perfect for me as I am only 5ft tall. I love that the open toe end no longer squishes my toes like other brands. I will be ordering more and recomending these to all my rehab patients and others I know. I now want to try the full length as well.

Great company with a great online user-friendly site! I've ordered twice now and both shipments arrived within a week of ordering with the correct orders. Having a history of blood clots in the legs I have to wear the stockings everyday. The price of their own brand is much more affordable and they are just as good as the more expensive brands. I will continue to order from this company.

The fit is perfect, the quality is excellent for the price and the delivery came within a reasonable amount of time. I am very satisfied and give this item an "A+".

Finally - a fairly affordable, higher compression support hosiery!! These wear well, wash well...and look far less noticeable than white or gray tinted hosiery. I have now built up a wardrobe with open and closed toe options. I've been wearing support for almost 8 years now and am so pleased not to "float a loan" when time to restock my leg wear gear!

I ordered A301SH in both full foot and open toe styles. Both styles fit me perfectly. It is so nice to be able to get such good prices for quality short length hose. Until I found your hose, Juzo was the only brand I had found in short length. and they are expensive. Regular length hose are entirely too long for my short legs. I can now afford more pairs of comfortable hose in different colors. Thank you for making short hose for us just over 5 feet tall folks. We enjoy being comfortable, too, which is impossible when your hose are too long and rolling down and cording your knee area. My doctor approves of these hose and asked me where I got them. I have given him the URL to your website so he can recommend them to some of his other patients. Thanks again, I appreciate your products! Kathleen Williams

These stockings are great. When I don't wear them my legs swell up and burn. The price is also good compared to name brand and they are the same.

Q: need zipper
A: only zipper we have is 30-40 or 40-50 compression.
Q: what is the difference between compression and graduated compressiomm
A: There is no difference, We usually say graduated compression 15-20 mmHg and compression is Millimeters of mercury mm Hg is the unit of barometric pressure in the metric system. Barometric pressure, also called air pressure or atmospheric pressure, is a measure of the weight of the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth at a given point.
Q: i normally wear mediven size VI what would that relate to in these?

A: Short length is from 13 to 15 1/2 Length.
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
