The open toe is a must for this high compression. The closed toe seemed to cut off circulation to my toes and made them feel cold. But I love the open toe. They are very comfortable and stay up. They seem to be very good quality and the price is great.

Reasonable price, quick shipping and quality product. Plus a company which stands behind their products. I don't know what more you would want!

These compression thigh high socks werer probably the best fitting socks I have yet ordered. They stayed in place without sliding down. I love them and will be ordering more.

I just ordered two more pair of these. Considerable compression yet flexible and tough enough for reasonable ease of fitting without causing any tears to hose. The hose remain in place on the upper thigh and are comfortable for more than 10 -12 hours due to large blunt silcon studs which do not dig into the skin

I've worn compression stockings for many years. I started out with Jobst. My insurance covered the cost of them, which was quite high. When my insurance no longer covered them I had to go to something I could afford to purchase and be able to obtain readily. I live in rural Oklahoma and it's very difficult to get a good deal in a timely manner. Then I discovered Discount Surgical Stockings online. The prices are more affordable, but I decided to try their brand. The web site is very user friendly, their prices are outstanding, and their service is of the highest standard. I ordered my stockings one evening and 2 days later, they were in my mailbox. Super excited with the response time. Discount Surgical Stockings will be the only place I'll purchase every again. The quality of the product is identical to the more expensive brands. They wash and wear very well. Overall I'm a very happy customer.

These support stockings are a fabulous buy. I like them because they are so comfortable and seem to be easier to get on than some others that I've had.

Using these as recommended by me Doc. Got the black to feel extra kinky ...like Lux;-) Great savings and quality product. The exactly the same as a previous name brand of which I paid almost twice as much!

I am totally amazed that the silicone dots hold these up so well. They are really comfortable. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to a thigh-hi with attachment after wearing these. The savings is another fantastic plus.

this ps a really good stocking for the money. I have not found a stocking with stay up top that will stay up on my legs, I therefor need this style, and it is extremely hard to find. At last I have a place to order what I need when I need it without an extravagent price.

The product was sent quickly and the quality was excellent. I needed to get the stockings in a hurry before an unexpected medical procedure, and I received them within just a few days after the order. The price was the best that I found on line and definitely less expensive that the stores I checked where the minimum price was $50.00. I suggest this product and this company highly!

Q & A

Ask a Question
1 question for this item
Q: How do I know the size when they arrive? I ordered 1 medium and 1 large, but I don't know which is which.
A: Each item is labeled with the Model/SKU Size and Color. We suggest measurements to be taken before ordering.
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
