Doff N' Donner Doffing and Donning Aid   DOFFNDON

Item IS NON Refundable NON Returnable

The Doff N’ Donner is a “Toroid”, or in laymen’s terms an infinitely shaped tubular water balloon.

It is used to doff and don compression garments of all shapes, styles and compressions. What makes the Doff N’ Donner different from other devices is that it is a Doffer as well as a Donner.

It is unique in that it is an assistive device that conforms to the garment rather than the garment being stretched to it. This greatly increases the life of the garment.

The Doff N’ Donner was invented by a caregiver for other caregivers with a “push” mentality rather than the “pull” donning strategy employed by patients. It was then developed to make it easier for patients to use themselves.

Because the Doff N’ Donner “conveys” or places the garment, it rolls right over bandages, freshly lotioned or wet limbs and even scar management pads.

What I like about it is the Doff N Donner "water Balloon" is a great massage for my legs. My grandkids take the put it over my calf's and massage them and this is so relaxing,& helps stimulate the blood to move around. As for the pole it is to big to carry on airplane, or travel to others homes,so I just take the "water balloon" & to get my hoses on I put them over my hand and arm and slide the "water balloon"over it and roll it down with the hose wrapping up in it. then slide my hose easy on to my leg. so minus the pole and just sell the "water balloon". I bought my Doff N Donner as a set of "water balloon" and pole in my doctor's office. My doctor took my knotted veins on my legs & made my legs soft & smooth.

The Doff N Donner has been a huge disappointment so far. The video from Sigvaros, which makes the use seem so easy, spends about five seconds on 'Thigh Hi's' , which are the most challenging to put on, it probably works fine for knee high stockings for someone who is not disabled. I need a care giver and so far, neither of us has been able to get the stocking to simply roll on all the way. We still end up having to pick and pull and be disappointed.

the doffer/ donner doesn't work so well for me. arhritic hands and shoulder make it very painful to remove the socks. it isn't nearly as easy as it appeared to be in videos showing how to use the doffer/ donner. probably a good product for a healthier person, but not so much for me.

Q & A

Ask a Question
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
