This was my second purchase from DSS and once again, I found their product to be just “what the doctor ordered“! Will definitely buy from them again when need a replacement.

I have acute radial nerve palsy with severe edema throughout my entire arm and hand. I needed a compression sleeve with strong compression. This sleeve has plenty of good compression, a comfortable fit, and stays up well on the top of the shoulder without straps. BUT, the wrist is way too. small and unforgiving (wouldn't stretch). It's not at all proportionate to the rest of the sleeve. I couldn't get the wrist over my swollen hand. (I don't know how you would get this garment over anyone's hand!) I even tried slipping the sleeve over an open-ended, large plastic tube, putting my hand through the tube, and then sliding the sleeve off the tube onto my arm. Good plan, but the wrist just wouldn't stretch enough to go over the tube. The rest of the sleeve stretches, just not the wrist -- the fibers are just too dense and tight. Finally I just cut the wrist off and my original plan of using the tube as an applicator worked perfectly. The sleeve was still long enough to go to the top of my shoulder. Now it fits accurately and works well.

I have worn the Juzo Dynamic Arm Sleeve every day....give or take a few....for at least 15 yrs. There have been changes in construction over time; the sleeve I'm wearing now is the most comfortable yet. My arm swells in the upper forearm so before the silicone dots at the top, it was always being pulled down. Well worth the extra to get the compression just where my arm needs it. Snags from gardening used to drive me crazy; improved weave doesn't snag as easily. I wash them in a mesh bag on warm delicate and damp dry for 10 min. I buy 3 sleeves every 6 months even though I could probably go longer. I am so satisfied with Juzo just plain beige arm sleeves, I've never even tried any other kind.

I have been wearing the Juzo products for almost 20 years. I recommend checking in with a physical therapist who knows you to determine the size and its effect. I wear mine for a lymphedema condition in my arm which I have fortunately been able to keep stable. I wear the gauntlet when flying. They stand up well to washing but avoid dryer and dryer sheets. I line dry mine.

I have lymphedema in right arm and have been using these sleeves to help control the swelling in my arm. They fit well and my order is delivered on a very timely manner.

Q & A

Ask a Question
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
