I wash my compression support stockings in Medi washing bags in a washing machine. The bag is approximately 13 1/2 inches high by 10 1/2 inches wide. The bag is well-made and securely closes with a zipper. One or more pairs of stockings will fit in a bag and then may be washed in a washing machine on the delicate setting. Washing your stocking in this manner allows the stockings to be cleaned and yet kept in good wearing condition. Medi products including the Washing Bag are well made and will give you great service.

A well-made wash bag that allows me to bag my support stockings and wash them in my clothes washer. Each bag holds one pair support pantyhose or two pair support knee-high stockings. Forget about washing your support stockings by hand. Just bag them and wash on the delicate cycle using the correct amount of detergent for load size. Hang the washed stockings in a shady place. I hang mine on a clothes pole in my guest bathroom. Mediven makes consistently great products and this wash bag is no exception. Each wash bag should last you through years of wash cycles!

I have been wanting one of these bags for delicate items. I'm so glad I ordered this bag. Absolutely fits the bill for just right. A second one is on it's way to my house. Outstanding workmanship. You won't be disappointed.

I bought two of these amazing bags. I just throw them in the washer with Dreft baby detergent, put the washer on gentle wash and everything comes out great. Before I tried these, I had to wash them by hand and try to wring them out which is hard on my arthritic hands. I always hand the stockings to dry.

This is a really good little helper for protecting support stockings. I put them in the bag and throw them in with the cold wash. Then I hang them to dry. I have had other bags before, but this one has finer mesh, thus protecting them better from snagging and/or fuzz from other items in the wash.

I knew I wanted to get some wash bags, but it was a whole new field... Which brand to get? On Amazon, you had to buy at least three of each brand which I didn't want to do. So, I tried one of these, as an add-on, and I was most pleasantly surprised... Then, I bought two more. The perfect number... Now I have three bags for the three different styles of knee-highs that I bought. I launder each style in one bag. Perfect. Three is the perfect thing. Just the right size...

The mesh bags are well made and good quality. They are a good size. I ordered 2 then ordered 2 more so we each have 2. One for dirty and one for clean

Great to keep my socks together when they are being washed.

Q & A

Ask a Question
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
