Perfect fit; excellent quality. I never go anyplace else after 4 purchases from DSS! I wish they would make a Navy Blue - I would buy it to add to the all other colors I have.

The stockings are perfect and I received a bonus with the easy to use easy on slipper! This aid is so wonderful as it was a struggle to use plastic bags....thanks!

I needed these hose after vein surgery. I was very pleased with them. They stay up all day without rolling and feel very comfortable. I even had to sleep in them. I had no problem getting them on. I have worn them every other day for a month and so far no runs or pick. I would recommend them, especially for comfort. Even wear them under stretch pants and no line.

I love the Medi brand of support stockings because they wear well, and the thigh-high band doesn't have a tendency to roll down. I recently tried the Sheer & Soft version, which is lighter-weight for hot summer months, and LOVE them! I do find that it is easier to put a finger through, and they rip/run easier than the heavier version I had been wearing, but if you're careful they last well and wear long. Color is more natural for a truer 'leg' look. I will continue to purchase these great nylons for continued support!

I started wearing these June 10, 2017. Fell in love with them immediately. They feel great and i don't have to wear panty hose. That's a BIG plus for me. On the other hand, one of the stockings developed a small run in less than a month of wear. I stopped it from getting larger with clear nail polish. I believe it's low enough in the stocking to be seen. I didn't know these could run.

Purchased as extra pair of compression hose for use after VNUS Closure and Phlebectomies. They are very soft, light and comfortable. My first wear of them, I wore them for a long period of time and ripped my skin off at the top of my thigh when removing. The hose stay up which is important but the material used can get stuck to skin. (this only happened once but took a while to heal!) I now tuck a small square of toilet paper in one area to avoid this when wearing the hose for travel which is now only time I wear them. I would buy again.

I have been wearing 20/30 thigh hi compression stockings since 6/14. I have ordered different brands and styles. These were much more pricy, but worthy! Got them on with ease and they stayed up. I will order them no in other color.

Since wearing compression stockings is no longer an option for me, THESE are IT!!! Couldn't manage without these sheer, open toe stockings! They are both silky and sheer, making them so much more lightweight than the normal styles. That alone makes them very helpful in reducing heat for me. The open toe is another valuable asset because my feet are abnormally HOT all the time; so having the additional air around my toes helps tons! They are surprisingly durable. I wear them about 18 hours a day in every condition of work and play, hot and cold. They combine fine with long or short pants or dresses, not causing other fabrics to 'catch' or 'ride' in any way. Occasionally when I carelessly hurry, putting them on, a fingernail will puncture a hole, but a quick dab of polish will stabilize the hole and not allow it to grow or run. Generally they last well with little incident for a full 4-5 months. Thanks MEDI!

Q & A

Ask a Question
2 questions for this item
Q: Has anyone else had issues with blistering and skin coming off where the silicone sticks to the thigh area when removing the stockings? I don't have this with the dot silicone, only with the lace top? Any suggestions, if others have had this issue? I really want to be able to wear the Sheer & Soft instead of the Comfort, as they are much lighter weight for warm summer wear!
A: The reason why you might be blistering due to wearing the lace band. The silicone doesn't cause allergy but when you sweat it might cause irritation and the blistering to occur .We would suggest for you to try the silicone dot bands so your skin can breath.
Q: Where exactly is the thigh high band to stop, 5-6 inches from the crotch or higher. Does this have a clear foot, toes and heel for sandals. Thanks
A: The thigh high band usually goes right under your buttocks but can be lower. About 3-5 inches lower. This garment is completely sheer from the bottom to top. It is available in open toe but not with an open heal.
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
