Sigvaris 503-C Knee High 30-40 Open Toe

Sigvaris 503-C Knee High 30-40 Open Toe

High Compression Unisex Stockings
Natural Rubber Material

• Remarkable
Numerous scientific studies have shown the medical effectiveness of the 500 Natural Rubber Series. The material has a remarkably low 1% to 2% fatigue rate, making the stocking ideal for those with serious indications or long-term therapy.

• Unique
Manufactured from double-covered elastodien yarn, a yarn made from soft, natural rubber and offering the greatest degree of elasticity while maintaining sustained compression throughout the day.

• Easy Wear
Made from a porous, extremely permeable, and highly elastic fabric which makes the stocking easy to pull on and off, even in the higher compression categories.

• Durable
The knitted fabric is double-covered textured yarn, and therefore retains its shape and is extremely durable.

I buy these sometimes for my friend on a limited income. She has worn them for years. They are great just a little too expensive for her to replace as often as necessary.

I have purchased these for about 15 years. I have CVI. Last year I chose the 860C because they were less expensive and bought multiple pairs. Bad decision. I struggled to put a pair on and then it was hell to get them off. So I am stuck, because I actually live in the Caribbean, and cannot return them and cannot use them. I am reverting to the rubber ones but would love a real discount.

It is quite simple. I've worn compression stockings for more than 50 years and my opinion is that when you purchase the Gold Standard of compression stockings (Sigvaris) from a quality online supplier of said stockings (Discount Surgical Stockings) you can't go wrong.

Been wearing Sigvaris knee hi’s since the 80’s they are very comfortable.

I wear these in warmer weather and when I work out at the gym. They offer great support but sometimes roll down and constrict my legs just below the knee. This requires unrolling and readjusting the stockings during the day. I've worn them for over 40 years and this has kept me from having varicose vein problems.

Great pricing and customer service. If they ever make a mistake (very rare), they stand with the customer to be sure of complete customer satisfaction. I have shopped with them for several years now.

I have to wear these stockings everyday, because I have had clots in both legs. It does get expensive though ,because the stockings cost almost $100.00 a pair. You have to be careful with the size choice as they come in short and regular. Of course I messed up my last order and got regular instead of short. I called and the rep was very helpful getting the right size for me. They are great socks, although very expensive. Jim D Lake Wales. FL

Q & A

Ask a Question
4 questions for this item
Q: 503CM2O77. This is my prior order for Sigvaris. I can't figure out how to replicate this on your order form. I don't know ankle, calf or length dimensions. I merely want to reorder what I have been using for 20 years.
A: Hi Please select Medium Average Long
Q: what is the difference between the 863c series and the 503c in the 30-40mmhg
A: The 863C are made in a Nylon and Spandex material, while the 503C is made in the Natural rubber material. The 503C is also made in a wider width size range. The compression is still 30-40mmHg.
Q: when did the price jump to six figures? I can remember paying $65, annoyed when it went to $85, now it's $119? somehow even 20% off an inflated price doesn't impress.
A: We totally agree - the price on these is ridiculous This is one of our favorite products and the price has become unbearable for many of our customers Sigvaris has raised the price of the 500 series for the past 1o years straight We are very sorry - but they set the price These are made in Switzerland and the price for importing them has gone up
Q: how do i translate S2 into the questions on sizing to reorder? ankle size? calf size? short or long? I am small boned, normal calf, 5'7" female
A: S2 = Small Average Long
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
