Sigvaris is one of the very few support stockings that come in short length. It is a superior stocking that comes in sheer, opaque and other types of support stockings. This is all that I wear.

I am traveling these days and need to support my legs with compression socks. These are the best!

I bought these hose because last time I ordered the very transparent ones, which started getting runs in them after a few months of wear. These got a run after only 3 times (two weeks) worn!

This is one of the few support stockings that can be purchased in a length size. I wear a short length and it is perfect, fits well. None of the other support stockings as far as I know offer this.

No compression/support. Waste of money. Cheaply constructed.

I wrote to the stockings company and had a very nice lady call me. She sent me samples of these stockings and I right away switched. I was using same company but different stockings. These are made in the USA and are so much better than their other one I was using. l luv them. So much better compression, same #'s. I can't say enough good things about them and the company who makes them, in Georgia is where she called from.

Great compression stockings...and I have to wear them every day. I have tried them all and Sigvarius is by far a better stocking.

I really like these hose. I was sent from the company who makes these 2 pairs to try and I loved them compared to the kind I was wearing of the same brand. They have much better compression than the previous ones I had been wearing. I can wear these at least 3 or 4 days and the still have compression. They are a bit harder to put on, but well worth it and a few dollars more, but I don't care. That was the best thing the company could ever have done for me to let me try something like these. I am sold.

i thought I was ordering something else--more sheer knee highs. I also thought I had ordered LS (large short). Instead I got LL (large long). Since they looked so different, all short and opaque, I thought I'd give them a try. They are easy to put on and take off. I don't much care for wrestling with stockings. They have room to stretch further. So I wonder if I should have insisted on LS. However, my legs feel good. So I am satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent pair.

Q & A

Ask a Question
1 question for this item
Q: What is the difference between long or short in knee highs
A: The length in the short will stretch up to 15" on the leg, whereas the long length will stretch from 15" -18" long.
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
