My Interventional Radiologist did not believe that these were compression hose and made me write it down so that he could give it to other patients. Always a pleasant transaction with DSS.

Got the open toes for sandles. I have the close toe also. I like these as they stay up. Going to get my veins fixed in November, long wait list, by RFA. Can't wait because I don't want to wear stockings. But if you need them, wear them.

Have been wearing Sigvaris for several years and consider these to be well fitting and durable. Delivery always dependable.

These are the best fitting compression thigh highs and are 100 percent accurate in the sizing tables!!! I tried a few others from DSS and these are hands down bar none the best fit and most comfortable. I had to return every other pair I tried. You get what you pay for with the other brands. Plus these look sexy and feminine, not like an old lady's pair at all. Treat yourself to the best and most comfortable fit around!

This is the second pair of stockings that I have ordered. I enjoy the sheer look and feel of these stockings. When I wear these you do not notice the band on them under your leggings or jeans. I will definitely order these again. Thank you

I have bought these EverSheer hose for several years in a 20-30 compression. They are the most attractive support hose I have found for that compression. My only complaint is that they don't make them for tall women. I am 5'9" and wear a size 10 shoe. I buy a SL size as I was instructed. However, the toes are too short and cause cramped toes but the open toe rides up in my shoe. Perhaps a strap between the toes would help.

I've said this before - best stocking you'll find as far as the stocking goes. The band they need to work on ... there's a huge seam in the back that really digs in ... the band is solid silicone and it can make your skin quite tender especially in the summer. I KNOW the seam could be done away with and silicone dots are more comfy than a solid band.

Love, love, love these stockings. I have tried many others, less expensive, but they don't compare. They are worth the money. They are sheer and easy to put on. The thigh highs are very comfortable.

These stockings fit well, are comfortable, and stay in place for as long as you are wearing them. Just make sure the top edge is level with the floor when you put them on. I use Sigvaris donning gloves to smooth them into place on my legs. I wash them inside out in a delicates bag with my regular laundry.

Great pair of stockings. I am tall and was glad they came in a long size. Nude color looks like the leg and support is very good. Had to wear them for 2 weeks after a vein ablation. I first washed them thoroughly with soap, then rinsed them a lot with cold water. It helped stretching them and soften them just a bit before putting them on for the first time. I unfortunately developed a rash around the silicone band on the thigh and had to treat it with over the counter product. I persisted and now it is almost normal skin. I often develop redness around adhesive band aids and this reaction was not surprising. I liked the sheerness of the stockings which look like normal skin and not thick medical material. The open toe allows for air but the material tends to climb along the foot which shows on certain shoes.

A: They are essentially the same thing since both names indicate that the item has silicone on the band for grip.
Q: what is difference in short or long length. Is the short just above the knee and the long up the thigh?
A: The short length is designed for those 5'5 and under
Q: Can the Sigvaris 782N EverSheer Thigh High 20-30 With Silicone Grip Top stockings be worn with garter belts?

Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
