They supply good compression just have more elastic in them and irritate my skin. I need the sigveris eversheer not so elastic. If you like Jobst the are equivalent only less expensive.

MY WIFE HAS DEGENERATIVE BONE JOINT DISEASE AND ALSO DEVELOPED DVT ( DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS ) BLOOD CLOT FROM ANKLE TO THIGH THAT HAS KEPT HER HOSPITALIZED FOR 3 YEARS NOW. MOSHE HAS BEEN A GREAT HELP AS SHE IS ABOUT TO BE RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL AND NEEDED A SPARE PAIR OF STOCKINGS IN A HURRY AS HER OTHERS WERE IN STORAGE AND I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO GO THRU ALL THE STORAGE BINS TO FIND HAVING JUST MOVED. SHE HAS BEEN USING THESE STOCKINGS FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS NOW AND THEY HAVE HELPED HER BECOME A LITTLE MOBILE INSTEAD OF BEING CONFINED TO HER WHEELCHAIR FULL TIME.

Usually wear Juzo support hose but when the price went up I thought they were too expensive so I thought I would try a different brand that were cheaper. I ordered the Sigvaris because they seemed affordable. They fit too the size I ordered but I don't like the waistband, it is not adjustable and it rolls down all the time so I feel like I have to keep unrolling it and pull it up. The only way it kind of stays up is if I pull it about 3 inches about my bellybutton and I don't like that. Also they have compression all the way up to the waistband so they feel really snug. I prefer the other brand mostly because of the waistband situation.

I ordered a pair each of the beige and black pantyhose. They are easier to put on than I thought they would be, which is very nice when you have limited time in the mornings! They feel very comfortable on, not too tight, so it is not a problem to wear them all day. The only thing that I wish were different was that the waistband is high. I wish you would offer a product that features a "low-rise" waist so they wouldn't come up above your pants! Otherwise, a great product.

Q & A

Ask a Question
1 question for this item
Q: What is the difference between Large and plus size?
A: The Plus size is made for fuller hips and waist
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
