What are Compression socks?

Compression Socks or compression stockings are a type of special support socks for your leg. These socks are available for men and women in a variety of styles and colors. You usually buy 2 pairs at a time, 1 to wear 1 to wash.

Your doctor will indicate the compression ratio he feels you need.

With compression socks the most compression is in the ankle and the compression gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This means that the stocking is going to be very tight around your ankle but it gets looser as it goes up your leg.
