Sigvaris is an excellent brand fits well, but toes and heels wear out quickly

I have tried several manufctors products. For me Sigarvis is the best.

I was used to buy thigh high stockings but I am so thin, 80lbs for 5.2 Height, that after a few hours, they were falling down my legs. Not fun. So I decided to buy those pantyhose and I am very pleased with them. I bought the smallest size with longer legs so they are very comfortable. I love Sigvaris products and wear them for over 30 years now.

My doctor told me to get stockings because of my swelling legs. I had no idea what to get. She gave me a paper tape measure and said to measure every part of my legs.I bought many of different pair and brands but found the Sigvaris to be the ones I like the most. I had a stroke before starting to wear these and I believe those are why I havent had a second stroke. It's not really excepted for males to wear pantyhose in the open so I wear them under pants. The problem with that is summertime its a bit to hot to do that. Ive gotten rid of my swelling in my legs from bad circulation. I still have varicose veins on my legs . But they really help keep me going if I have a lot of walking in that day. I think Sigvaris has lasted the longest of all the brands Ive tried and are very comfortable .

I'm mixed on the Sigvaris 972. The waist stretches beautifully for pure comfort however the legs fall down at the thighs so I'm constantly pulling them back up. I had my legs measured professionally so I'm not sure what the problem is with them. Still, compared to the pantyhose type stockings these at least have give in the waist and last long.

I have worn Sigvaris Support hose for years and have been completely satisfied. I've tried others but none can compare with the comfort and fit.

The fit is excellent. I am tall and order the long and they are just right.

I ordered size medium with short length, went by the measurement guide. It fits fairly well. For some reason, there is some resistance with walking or taking steps. The soft fabric makes it easy to put on and gives adequate compression. I had to return it due to restriction in movement.

I am very satisfied with my Sigvaris even though I do not look forward to wearing them in this coming warm weather, but my therapist says I must and it does really help with the lymphadema.

It was the most comfortable pair of hose I've ever ordered.

Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
