I'm on my feet all day, every day, often 12 hours, no break. By end of day feet, legs swollen, heavy, achy, burning. Wearing compression socks/stockings abolishes all symptoms. I've been ordering from Discount Surgical Stockings for about 15 years. These new Microfiber High Compression Knee sox are really all I need for work. But I still wear equivalent in pantyhose interchangeably. Although the High Compression Microfiber socks are advertised for men, I just made the size adjustment to womens' sizes, and got the right fit. Obviously I'm very pleased.

These socks fits perfectly and last forever, even though I machine wash and dry it. I have purchased four in the past year and am looking to buy more. Only issue is that it comes in limited colors. I needed other colors because I use these socks 24/7, for work, play and sleep you name it and it improve my daily strength. Again no regrets at all.

My origianal order consisting of 30-40hhhg were much too snug for me personally. Returning the merchandise was no problem. I was given alternative suggestions which were to have been helpful. Other than what is already written all went well and I am satisfied. Returning stockings for the exchange was no problem. The material of the stockings seem to be aok. There is also ample room at the toe end of the stocking. I most probably will re-order at a future time. Over all I find no complaints.

I wondered if I should buy them online since I had just began wearing compression socks. I am pleased with my decision. I first bought compression socks from an insurance place that they measured my leg so they could fit it "exactly right." They were too loose. Using the method of going to my shoe size is much better. It is a little tighter, but that is what needs to be. I learned a tip on putting them on: you rub baby powder on your leg before you put on the sock.

These compression socks are the best. I have a metal sock donner and the Juzo or Jobst socks will not slide off. These socks fit on it a come off when I pull them on. Their stretch last quite a while also. For the price they cannot be beat.

Excellent value. Great fit and wear - better than "brand" ones at 3 x the price!

Q: How do these compare to Jobst XL FI CAT 3110530
A: Similar Material - Same compression
Answered by Ray
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
Q: Where are you? How's the weather?
A: We are located in Brooklyn, NY. Here is the current weather in our part of town. We hope the sun is shining by you!
