These support hose are great. I love the feel, they are so very soft. I love the colors also. What I don't like is the band around the top for the calf area. It is too tight. I ended up cutting mine to make them fit better but that didn't help. I don't understand how you can measure a stocking by the shoe size. Everyone's legs are a different size especially in the calf area. I have the same sized feet as my skinny daughters however my legs are not skinny. I previously brought my support hose from this company and was very pleased so I am surprised that they have resorted to this sizing. I am sorry to say I will no longer be purchasing my hose from here.

These compression stockings were just what I was looking for. They're bright colors were a warm welcome to the usual drab beige ones. My disappointment was the sizing. I measure my legs to insure the correct size. They were very, very small. I could not get passed my toes. I ordered XXL.

I was told to wear compression socks by a doctor a year ago for pain management. I have tumors that run from my foot to my knee. These tumors impact function as well as being quite painful. I've been happily surprised at how much compression socks reduce the pain. Since I live in South Florida, I usually use open toe compression socks. Recently I've needed to wear shoes so I've had to use close toe compression socks. These are great because the toe box is large and the seam isn't uncomfortable. The material is very soft. I was surprised that my womens' size 8.5-9 shoe means I am size Large for these socks. But size large fit great. They are 1-1.5" longer than is ideal for my calf length. My only complaint is the colors.... wish they had some less bright colors to choose from.

I need compression socks while I heal from a broken none in my foot. I actually have purchased and returned several pair from several sources, because they were stiff and heavy. These are soft and fun to wear. They also stay up all day.

Love these. Get the best compliments on the colors. Wish they had a yellow and a few more blue colors. :)

These compression socks are adorable. I love the bright colors and they're so much cheaper than what I've seen on other sites. I wear them during my long runs and they're just right. I just need all the other colors now.

Q & A

Ask a Question
Questions that are on Your Mind
Q: Can you help me with sizing?
A: You can view the size chart here: size chart
You will need accurate measurements, so first learn how to measure.
Q: What is compression? What is the difference in compression?
A: You wear compression stockings to improve blood flow in your legs. Compression stockings gently squeeze your legs to move blood up your legs. This helps prevent leg swelling and, to a lesser extent, blood clots.
Q: What does mmHg mean?
A: mmhg stands for "millimeter of mercury", a way to measure pressure. The higher the number, the tighter the garment will squeeze and the more compression it provides.
Q: How can we wash the garments? And with which soap or detergent?
A: We recommend to hand wash in warm water and air dry. You can use mild soup of the washing solution that we provide such as the jobst jolastic, hosiery mate washing solution, sigvaris liquid washing solution etc. See our full washing instructions.
Q: What is the difference between open toe and close toe?
A: There is no therapeutic difference between open and closed toe socks. The choice is yours, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: What is opaque?
A: Opaque is a thicker material that provides great coverage and your skin will be far less visible. Usually worn in winter because of the thickness.
Q: What is sheer?
A: Sheer is a thinner, dressier material. Customer usually like these because they can use them as dress socks for work or church.
Q: Do I get compression at the toe area?
A: No. Compression begins at the ankle and gradually lessens as it goes up the leg. This reduces pooling in the legs and helps the veins return blood to the heart.
Q: Will a thicker material give me more support than the sheer material?
A: No. The compression provided is measured by mmHg and is the same no matter the material. The choice of material is up to you, whichever is more comfortable.
Q: If I get pantyhose will I get more compression than with a knee-hi?
A: No.
