Total game changer for the aesthetics of compression socks. 0 people found this helpfulExceptional compression socks—and I do mean exceptional. This particular sock neither looks nor feels like a traditional compression sock. Even one of my most fashion-conscious friends, when I told him they were compression socks, was in disbelief. The ribbed knit design really lends it a casual look. I’m not sure why Sigvaris markets them (at least on the packaging) as an exclusively women’s style? Calf and ankle measurements are, after all, calf and ankle measurements ????????♂️. I guess maybe the lavender color is slightly feminine, but that’s one color out of the available four. The brown, grey, and denim are all pretty gender neutral in my opinion. The denim color is (again, my opinon) particularly cool. As for the compression, they’re perfectly fine. I don’t know if I would say that they are any more or less supportive or comfortable than your typical higher-end compression sock at your specific mmHg preference . In my opinion, there’s always going to be a baseline discomfort anyway when it comes to compression socks; but the alternative, when you have pretty severe CVI (swelling, ulcers), is, in my experience, much much worse than having on annoyingly tight and high socks. All in all, these are the only compression socks I’ve seen that strike a perfect balance between function and form. Sigvaris would do well to introduce additional colors and drop the gender-specific packaging.
